Business and Cultural Training
We offer basic training with respect to applicable ‘cultural’ and business practices and customs in China and Hong Kong. Our team draws on personal experience to highlight differences between the U.S. and China and help you avoid commonly encountered pitfalls.
Business Matching and Pre-Qualification of Service Providers and Vendors
After we understand your requirements, we will provide you with information on a pre-agreed number of providers that meet your requirements. In many cases, we will be able to arrange peer to peer conversations. If needed, we can also provide a qualified translator to facilitate those discussions.
Establishing a China Presence
We can provide guidance on the various business formation alternatives available in China and Hong Kong. In China and Hong Kong the business structure can impact a range of areas including tax, currency repatriation, corporate governance, licenses and permits, and hiring. We can help you navigate these options to build the most efficient and productive strategy. Our team also has the experience to help you develop all-important corporate governance and expatriate policies. We provide logistical guidance and support for many of the activities associated with opening an office in or setting up operations with China and Hong Kong.
Whether leasing or purchasing, site selection is always an important decision. Our team can assist you in understanding real estate processes in China and Hong Kong, and in recommending and coordinating with local specialists to meet your requirements.
Sourcing and Manufacturing
Upon confirmation of your needs, we will assist you in finding qualified providers of components or products to meet your requirements. We can also pre-qualify manufacturers that have the ability to produce finished products to your specifications. In many, if not most cases, site visits will be needed before making a final selection. We can plan and coordinate those meetings as required.
We can provide product and service market entry and growth strategies, combined with appropriate risk analysis and sector research. We also provide on-going, up-to-date China economic briefings on a quarterly basis.
Supply Chain Management
This is an area that may be important to some of our clients. We do not currently directly support supply-chain management; however, we are working to develop trusted relationships with third parties that we can confidently recommend to our clients.
